Kristine Rabago began her legal career in 1994 as an Assistant General Counsel for California’s Agricultural Labor Relations Board (“ALRB”). In that capacity, Kristine was the prosecuting attorney for the El Centro Regional Office, prosecuting complex and sensitive violations of the California Agricultural Labor Relations Act, such as unfair labor practices, throughout all of southern California.
Kristine negotiated settlements to resolve pending cases and appeared in various courts throughout the region, from superior courts in California to the United States Bankruptcy Court, enforcing judgments in favor of the Agricultural Labor Relations Board. While at the ALRB, Kristine also traveled throughout all of California, helping conduct union elections when farm workers petitioned to determine whether to unionize or in some circumstances, whether to decertify a union, making sure that the mostly Spanish-speaking workers understood their rights. During her time there, Kristine was promoted to Assistant General Counsel II, before moving to Tucson, Arizona.
In Arizona, Kristine took a hiatus from the legal field until her children began attending elementary school. Kristine returned to the legal field in 2009, to work at the Pima County Legal Defender’s Office, where she assisted in a variety of matters pertaining to indigent representation, including trial preparation, mitigation work, and she proudly supervised and trained over one hundred student interns at her office through various university and government internship programs. In 2014, Kristine was recognized by the Arizona Public Defenders Association with an award for her Outstanding Contribution to Indigent Defense.
In 2015, Kristine began as an Associate at the Vince Rabago Law Office, where she primarily works on bankruptcy cases and helps individuals and businesses with legal advice and legal assistance on a variety of civil matters.
Kristine is licensed to practice law in Arizona, California, and Texas.* She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she received the Dean’s Outstanding Scholar Award. While in law school, Kristine received several Finalist Awards for Oral Argument in Moot Court competitions, as well as the Best Brief Award.
