Two Decades of Advocacy
Vince Rabago has been practicing law for more than 20 years. In 1993, he began his legal career in litigation in the private sector in San Diego, California. There, Vince worked in civil litigation and had the opportunity to represent individuals and businesses, and he also worked on significant cases or issues responding to the aftermath of the 90′s Savings & Loan Crisis. In 1994, Vince entered public service.
For the next 16 years — prior to opening his own law office — Vince was a career prosecutor. Vince worked for more than 8 years in San Diego as a state prosecutor for the California Attorney General. In the public sector, Vince worked on criminal and constitutional litigation in state and federal court, as well as appellate court representation and litigation.
In 2002, Vince returned to Arizona and became an Assistant Attorney General for the Arizona Attorney General’s office. Vince continued his work on appellate and state court criminal and constitutional litigation, as well as civil habeas litigation in the federal court system. Beginning in 2005, Vince investigated and prosecuted civil business fraud cases for the AG’s Consumer Protection unit. In that role, he worked on national, statewide, and local fraud investigations and cases. This work included consumer fraud investigations of national and global corporations, as well as mortgage and foreclosure fraud investigations, and investigations or cases against predatory lenders.
As a state prosecutor in California and Arizona, Vince has worked on criminal, civil, or constitutional matters at all levels, including the Arizona Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court, U.S. District Court, the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Over the years, Vince has worked on high-profile cases on a national, statewide, and local level. Among the organizational clients which he has represented in high-profile cases or in Amicus “friend of the court” briefs, are the State of California, the State of Arizona, the National Consumer Law Center, the National Bankruptcy Attorneys Association, the Southwest Fair Housing Counsel, and the American Friends Service Committee.
Vince has extensive experience in civil and constitutional litigation in both state and federal court, including work on significant high profile litigation, and appellate court experience.
