Supreme Court update …

Fighting for the underdog …

We are waiting for the U.S. Supreme Court to decide whether it will hear my client’s case. The Court held its conference to discuss our case on Monday. So far, no news on whether the Court will accept review, but by the same token, the Court has not denied review.

Have you paid your property taxes? Facing a tax lien foreclosure case?

Have you paid your property taxes?  In Arizona, the county treasurer  can sell the right to pay your taxes to investors, who can later foreclose on your home using a tax lien lawsuit.

Our office has successfully fought and even overturned tax lien foreclosures, and has also helped Arizona homeowners to redeem the tax liens and protect their homes.

Look at this cautionary tale of a posh neighborhood in San Francisco that actually had their street sold to investors, due to a mix up in the non-payment of their taxes. Now, they may have to pay to park on their own street! http://www.sfchronicle.com/…/San-Francisco-street-sells-for…

With the recent changes to the tax code and new tax laws in 2018, many homeowners rushed to pay the property taxes at the end of the year.  But do not forget that older taxes may have been paid by an investor and sold a tax lien certificate, and can foreclosure after three (3) years.  So, if you have older, unpaid taxes, do not wait.

If you are facing a property tax lien problem, of if someone has paid your back taxes and is seeking to foreclose with a lawsuit, contact Vince Rabago Law Office for a legal consultation. (520) 955-9038.
